What is osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual medicine that focuses on finding and treating functional disorders of joints, tissues and movements in the body. Functional mobility of these tissues is necessary to function properly and without complaints.

All tissues in our body are connected to each other and can influence each other. It is often the case that the cause of a complaint is found in a different part of the body than where the symptoms occur.

In addition to treating complaints, you can also contact the osteopath to prevent complaints.

What does the osteopath do?

An osteopath will map out all the blockages and movement restrictions in the body that are related to the complaint. For example, he searches for the cause of the complaint and treats it through manipulations, muscle techniques and mobilizations.

The osteopath does not heal, but encourages the body to heal itself. He does this by removing blockages and movement restrictions that hinder healing. Equipment or medicines are not used.
